Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Game of Inches holds, why, and your rights. Game of Inches is run by Game of Inches ("we", "us"). Our ICO registration number is [to be added].
Two kinds of data
- Data about our customers: the club admins, coaches and other members who sign in, and billing details. We decide how this is used, so we are the controller.
- Data clubs add about their players: names, shirt numbers, positions, fitness status, match actions, ratings and match video. The club decides what is recorded and why, so the club is the controller and we are its processor. We only use it to provide the service to that club, under our Data Processing Agreement. Players and parents with questions about that data should contact the club first.
What we collect about our customers

We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it.
Emails we send
We send emails you need: account confirmation, password resets, payment receipts, renewal reminders, and warnings before data is deleted. We only send news and update emails if you ticked the box asking for them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
Who helps us run the service
These providers process data for us, under contract, only to run the service:

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the European Union and the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by the UK's approved contract terms for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your club uses Game of Inches. If a club's plan ends, its data is deleted 30 days later.
- Register-interest details: until you ask us to delete them, or 12 months after launch if you don't become a customer.
- If a person is removed from a club, their access ends straight away. Their login can be deleted on request.
- Billing records: 6 years, because the law requires it.
- Match video: 12 months from upload unless the club buys extra time.
Keeping it safe
Data is encrypted in transit. Each club's data is separated by database access rules so one club can never see another's. Access to the systems is limited to us and protected with two-step sign-in.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email support@gameofinches.ie and we will reply within one month. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Game of Inches is used by adult coaches and club officials. We don't knowingly let anyone under 18 create a login. Clubs may record data about players under 18; they do that as controller and must have a lawful basis for it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it applies.
