Terms of Service
These terms apply when a club or other organisation uses Game of Inches. "We" and "us" means Game of Inches. "You" and "the club" means the club or organisation that signs up, and the people it adds to its account. Game of Inches is a service for clubs and organisations, not for consumers.
1. The service
Game of Inches lets a club tag match video and see statistics, maps, clips, player ratings and reports built from those tags. We may improve or change features over time. We will not remove a core feature you are paying for during your paid year without telling you first.
2. Accounts
- The person who creates the club becomes its first club admin. Club admins add and remove coaches and other members.
- Each person signs in with their own email address and password. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your club's logins.
- Tell us straight away at support@gameofinches.ie if you think a login has been misused.
3. Free trial
A new club can use every feature for 3 games free, with no card needed. To add more games, the club chooses a paid plan.
4. Plans and payment
- Plans are paid yearly in advance by card through Stripe, in pounds sterling or euro. Prices are shown on our website and in the app before you pay.
- Plans renew automatically each year. We email club admins 30 days before each renewal with the date and price.
- Founder price: clubs that join on the founder offer pay the founder price for their first year and their first renewal. From the second renewal the club pays the standard Club plan price, and the 30-day renewal email says so.
- If a payment fails, we will email you and Stripe will try again. If payment still isn't made, access ends as set out in section 6.
5. Cancelling and refunds
A club admin can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing → Manage billing. The club keeps access until the end of the paid year and the plan does not renew. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. When a plan ends
- When a paid plan ends without being renewed, the club loses access to its games.
- We keep the club's data for 30 days in case it renews, and email club admins before it is deleted.
- After 30 days we permanently delete the club's games, squads and settings. We cannot recover them after that.
- If the club renews within the 30 days, everything comes back as it was.
7. Your club's data and video
- Your club owns its games, tags, squads and any video it uploads ("club content"). You give us permission to store, process and display club content only to provide the service to you.
- Club content often includes personal data about players, some of whom may be under 18. For that data, the club is the controller and we are the processor. Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms and sets out how we handle it.
- You can export your club's data at any time from Settings → Data.
- If we store match video for you, each game's video is kept for 12 months from upload unless you buy extra time. We email you before a video is deleted.
8. Using the service properly
You agree that:
- you have the right to use any video you load or upload, and the right to record and use the personal data you add, including any permission needed from players or, for under-18s, their parents or guardians;
- you will follow your governing body's guidance on recording and sharing images of players, including the GAA's guidance on children and young people;
- you will not add sensitive information about players beyond what the service asks for (for example, medical details);
- you will not try to break, overload or get around the security of the service, or let anyone outside your club use your logins.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. We will tell you why unless the law stops us.
9. Availability
We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to take it offline for maintenance, and we will try to do that outside match days.
10. Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue or goodwill.
- Our total liability to a club in any year is limited to the amount the club paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Statistics and ratings are tools to help coaches. Selection and coaching decisions remain the club's.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will email club admins at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect and get a refund for the unused part of your paid year.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland deal with any dispute.
